Clownfish have a mutually beneficial relationship ...

  • Share this:

Clownfish have a mutually beneficial relationship with sea anemones. They have a protective layer that is immune to the toxins the anemone produces to capture prey. The anemone provides shelter from predators and the clownfish returns the favour by removing parasites and driving away intruders.

Next time you see clownfish among the tentacles, make sure you don't get too near or you will get stung. ⚡
